Of course, there are a few quirks that every player will have to get used to as they explore this game. Here are some beginner tips for players to know before they get started in The Cycle: Frontier, to ensure they are as efficient as possible.

7 Watch Out For Fall Damage

There is, in fact, fall damage when it comes to The Cycle: Frontier. If a player falls from too tall of a height, they will end up taking damage; a certain height can even end up killing them.

As long as a player knows that fall damage exists, they will be more careful. After all, nobody wants to jump off of a building to get down to the ground floor, only to end up killing themselves at the beginning of a round.

6 Plan Ahead Before Starting the Game

The Cycle: Frontier has all sorts of different quests and objectives for a player to explore, just like any good FPS game. Players should think through what exactly they are going to do before they enter any area to undertake a mission.

For example, if a player needs to collect a certain item, they will have to plan to spend a lot of time in an area populated by the enemy that drops this item. It will be good for a player to plan ahead based on what they want to do — in a situation like this one, that means making sure they are prepared to do battle against that specific type of enemy, perhaps for quite a while.

5 Get Used To Map Exploration

The maps in The Cycle: Frontier are, without a doubt, huge. It will be good for a player to learn how to properly explore the map, checking their stamina to ensure that the bar always stays high and remembering to prepare themselves against storms.

Storms will bring down lightning and loud wind, both of which can be really difficult for a player to deal with as they can hinder exploration. If a player knows what they are getting into, they will be able to get through their missions with relative ease, regardless of any storms they encounter, or anything else that may stand in their way. Practice navigating through storms and learn how to keep them from slowing players down.

4 Don’t Fight Two People At Once

The Cycle: Frontier is filled with many creatures that a player will want to try and kill off as soon as they can. As such, there will be times when a player ends up surrounded by multiples of these creatures, and it may seem tempting to kill them all off as soon as they can.

However, this is a bad idea. The player will get swarmed with the enemies, and can end up getting quickly overwhelmed. Instead, would be a good idea to focus on one enemy at a time, while dodging the others’ attacks.

3 Complete The Daily Jobs

Daily Jobs are, essentially, a few quests that a player can pick up daily (as they refresh every day) and complete them for small items, which can be useful in any FPS game. These objectives for each quest are relatively simple, so it is very easy to clear off all of their daily quests.

It takes almost no extra effort for a player to finish up their Daily Jobs, and with the added bonus of extra experience and items. A little goes a long way, and the rewards will add up over time as long as the player keeps finishing up their Daily Jobs.

2 Stock Up On Ammo

It may sound obvious at first, but there are many people who will rush out into the battlefield with only a little ammo left to use. The result is that they’ll then be caught in the middle of fighting with no way to use their guns.

It is a good idea for a player to stock up on their ammo as much as they can to ensure their guns remain useful. Although it may end up costing the player a bit of money, it will be more than worth it in the long run, to ensure that the player does not run out at the worst point.

1 The Insurance System Works

Unlike a lot of other games, there is an insurance system in The Cycle: Frontier, and it can actually help save the player during their worst situations. If a player takes a particularly expensive item with them into a mission, it would be a good idea to insure this item.

If the player then dies, they will be able to get a nice payout. That amount will hopefully be enough to buy another weapon similar to the one that they had insured.

The Cycle: Frontier is available on Microsoft Windows.
