The rhythm-based gameplay of Soundfall gives people plenty of options to explore the dungeons of Symphonia. With dozens of weapons and armor to choose from and 5 playable characters, Soundfall provides a refreshing combat system that oozes life into each stage. Newcomers to the action-adventure genre can take a look at these tips to improve their experience.
10 Let The Music Take Control
Players will be given the Beat Blaster to start the game with. Try not to button mash with the weapon as that will cause less damage to enemies. Pay attention to the Metronome at the bottom of the screen and time attacks by listening to the music during the game. Let the beat line up to the center of the Metronome meter to get the most out of every attack.

Tracks like “Fly Fly Fly” have a highly vocal tune that has uplifting beats. People can time their attacks to the beats of the track that’s playing to kill monsters faster. Peons, grunts, and shooters can be taken out within a couple of hits by timing the attack right.
9 Build The Chain Meter
The rhythm-based game has a number of fantastic tracks to fuel the fights. The Chain meter above the health bar can help players maximize their score on every level. To increase the Chain meter, plan attacks to the beat of the music. Missing the beat can deplete the chain meter and cancel any bonus players get from their gameplay.
The Chain meter can go up to levels more than 10 per level. People can multiply the score by 1.25x or even 1.5x after reaching level 15 on their Chain meter. Building the Chain meter is much more effective in getting a high score than any other tactic in Soundfall.
8 Check Out The Ratings Before Buying Items
Soundfall has dozens of weapons and other inventory that can be equipped to make the game more interesting to newcomers. Apart from finding weapon drops while exploring the dungeons, players can also unlock weapons through the store in the game. Take a look at the different stats listed on the items displayed in the store before making a purchase.

Early items in the game can cost players as much as 450 Gold to unlock. Weapons such as the Boombox has a rating of 10. The Boombox has a much higher rating than the Burstfire, a weapon with a rating of 6 and costs 270 Gold to unlock.
7 Range Attacks Work Better On Smasher
There are a number of different monsters that people can fight in Soundfall. Players can choose between melee and ranged weapons to slay enemies in each stage. Monsters such as the peon and grunt can be easy to kill using a melee weapon. Smasher is a harder opponent that needs a bit of skill to succeed.
As a heavier enemy, the smasher can use his size against players in battle. Attacking the smasher with melee weapons can get people hit with moves that can take away a good chunk of their health. Stay away from the smasher and use mid-range weapons to destroy him.
6 Spread Shots Are More Effective
Getting surrounded by enemies can lead to dangerous situations in the game. While there are lots of weapons that deal a devastating amount of damage, it can be challenging to crush opponents individually. Taking down the monsters one by one is time-consuming and harder to execute while players are busy looking at the metronome meter.
Weapons such as the Extended Serenade Repeater have a large spread of bullets. Projectiles from the Extended Serenade Repeater can strike 2 or more enemies at once. Spread shots will also provide additional Gold after dominating encounters with enemies.
5 Equip Armor With Perks
Armor is one of the most important inventories that players can equip in the game. The right armor can enhance gameplay and protect players in dungeons. People can purchase various sets of armor from the shop. The average cost of a common armor in the shop can range anywhere from 500 - 650 Gold in Soundfall.

Beginners that are having a tough time moving forward through maps like Skylands can try equipping armor that increases their max health. A level 7 armor can provide additional health of 32 points. The Inspiring Serenade Armor has amazing perks, such as allowing players to make 2 dashes in a row. It also charges up the Ultimate meter by absorbing incoming damage.
4 Use Ultimate Ability To Deflect Enemies
The Ultimate ability can be used in a variety of ways. Players need to hit several monsters and inflict an adequate amount of damage till the Ultimate meter is filled. The Ultimate meter is found right below the health bar and can be used in battles to gain the upper hand. Once the Ultimate meter is fully charged, it will start blinking and urge players to use it.
Don’t rush the Ultimate ability, as it can take time to reload the meter. Look around the map and use it when the character is outnumbered. The ultimate ability of Melody lets her spin around the map using her weapon to deal damage to a massive area of the map. It can easily deflect enemy attacks and guard players when they have low health.
3 Wield Weapons That Suit The Map
Players can pulverize their enemies with a choice of weapons in Soundfall. Many of the weapons available in the dungeon-crawler game have a broad spectrum of passive abilities that can make a direct impact on the gameplay.
The Allegro Quarterizer is a ranged weapon that increases the movement speed of players after they kill their enemies on a particular beat. The Stable Bolero Sixteener is a versatile weapon that deals additional damage per second. Attacks from the Stable Bolero Sixteener can be stacked up to 4 times and takes longer to overheat.
2 Dash To Dodge Attacks
Beginners underestimate the Dash ability in the top-down perspective game. There are 3 meters of charge for Dash that can be used to trick enemies and dodge their attacks. The Dash ability lets players take a leap in any direction to avoid incoming damage. It can be used to move in and out of battle while attacking grunts and peons without getting hit.
Players can Dash toward enemies and use melee attacks to derail them. People can also Dash further away from opponents to use range weapons to obliterate them in their path. The Dash ability can be used in quick succession to evade multiple enemy attacks with ease.
1 Browse Through The Free Play Menu
The Free Play menu of the game has all the available tracks that players can fight with. EDM, Pop, and Rock are a few of the genres of songs that can be turned on in Soundfall. Players can also invite up to 4 friends to play with them locally or online through the Free Play menu. Players can also load up tracks from their own playlist while battling creatures in the game.
Newcomers to the action game can switch up the tracks constantly to find the rhythm that fits their play style. Hitting attacks with 100% accuracy and on-beat will unlock exciting awards in the game. Players can also complete a mission before the song loops to earn rewards.
Soundfall is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
