Some fans, especially those that are intimately familiar with games in the horror genre, won’t have too much trouble. These beginner tips, on the other hand, should help new players just starting out on their journey through Saturnalia.

7 Learn More About Special Abilities

In the game Saturnalia, the player will have multiple characters to choose from and to use during the gameplay. Something interesting for a player to note is that every character has their own special ability, which can actually help them in all sorts of situations (such as running from the monster).

A player should take the time to get used to how each of their characters uses their special ability and what it does. Luckily, though, the game will introduce the player to their first special ability - that being with the character named Anita, who will help the player get used to it.

6 Listen Closely To Sound

Sound is very important in the game Saturnalia, probably even more so than in most other horror games. The important aspect regarding sound in Saturnalia is that it is the main indicator as to where the monster that the player is running from is located at all times.

There will be a repeated clicking noise that grows louder and louder the closer the player is to the beast. This will be a really good indicator of when the player needs to run and when they are safe, so a player needs to keep an ear out for the beast.

5 Keep An Eye On The Surroundings, There Is No Map

One of the main things that trip people up while playing through the game Saturnalia is the fact that there is absolutely no map in the game. It is a real problem to deal with, especially if a player is not paying attention to where they were going beforehand.

Luckily, a player can combat this by making note of anything interesting that may be nearby their turns - such as a particularly strange-shaped tree. Additionally, a player could take notes of the directions they walk in and then reverse them to get back to where they started.

4 Prepare Accordingly For Missions

There are multiple missions that a player will be taking on while playing through the game Saturnalia. Of course, these missions work to further the story - such as the first few missions following the character Anita on her quest to find the next character, Paul.

A player should remember to prepare well for the missions that they are going to be experiencing very soon. There will be all sorts of resources that they will be able to get per mission as well - such as consumables to buff a character up.

3 Use Other Characters To Save One Another

Once a player gets a little further into the game, they will have multiple characters at their disposal to use to their advantage. This can be especially useful if they have a character who got snatched up by the monster.

If a player gets all of their characters grabbed by the monster, it’s game over. However, with just one surviving character, a player can make the big trek to rescue their captured characters as quickly as possible.

2 Do Not Fight The Monster, Maneuver Around It

A player cannot fight against the monster in the game Saturnalia, it is not worth even trying. There are no weapons for a player to use to fight off the monster, and as such a player is completely useless in terms of fighting.

Something that a player should know, though, is that instead of fighting, the easiest way to get out of the situation is to run. A player needs to learn how to outmaneuver the monster quickly - turning sharp corners, ducking to hide, and other things similar to this will be a great way of evading the beast.

1 Look For Resources To Get A Leg Up

Luckily, a player will be able to find all sorts of resources at nearly any point in time, not just when they are specifically going on a mission. These resources can be very useful for a player’s goals in evading the monster or finding the solution to their new mission.

These resources can be all sorts of things. For example, it could be a consumable item that gives a player a speed buff, which would be great to evade the monster that is chasing after them; there are all sorts of things that a player could pick up, so it’s best to keep one’s eyes open!

Saturnalia is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
