There are going to be many players who will be able to instantly take to the game and all of its unique mechanics. However, there are some players who may end up struggling a bit during the initial hurdle of getting used to the game. There are some beginner tips for players to know before getting into Nova-111.
7 Start Looking For Scientists
The main focus of the game Nova-111 is trying to find all of the scientists that disappeared during the Universe’s Greatest Science Experiment. As such, the first thing a player should do is start looking for said scientists as soon as possible.
A player will actually be able to gain an achievement for gathering up all of the scientists in the game. While it may not give a perk in the game, it will be nice for completionists and those who want to 100% finish the game to have this achievement in their roster.
6 Keep A Lookout For Secrets In Every Level
The world of Nova-111 is large and sprawling, so it is no surprise that there are secrets jam-packed into every level that a player will be going through when they start up the game. There will be secrets scattered around for players to find and discover. What these secrets are, though, is up to them to find out.
The game is diligent in hiding these kinds of secrets all over the world that a player is forced to explore, but it is worth noting they are very well hidden. A player will have to essentially push up against every wall they come across, in hopes of finding secret rooms.
5 There Are Quite A Few Trophies To Gather
As a player goes through Nova-111, they will realize that there are a lot of achievements and trophies to gather up while playing through the game. Some of these trophies are unavoidable, as they follow story events.
However, there are many others that can be missed very easily, such as not doing a certain task enough times. It would be best for a player to explore and touch everything they can.
4 Don’t Be Afraid To Unleash The Laser
The laser is going to be the player’s best friend when it comes to fending off the many enemies that are roaming through the world of Nova-111. It is basically the only weapon that a player will have against them.

There is actually an achievement that a player can get by zapping enough enemies to death. On top of this, it’s just a good idea for a player to keep that laser on hand to get them out of a jam if it is necessary.
3 Spikes Are The Player’s Friend
There are spikes hidden throughout the world, which a player will have to deal with when they are navigating through new and unusual areas. While these spikes can cause damage to the player, they can be used to their advantage as well.
These spikes can actually hurt enemies as well. A player can actually lure the enemies toward a pit of spikes, thus causing extreme damage or even outright killing them without getting the player in too much danger.
2 Keep A Watchful Eye For Anything Suspicious
Seeing as there are secrets scattered all throughout the game, a player must remember that their hiding spots are going to be hidden. It will not be obvious if there is anything hidden in the level, of course, so it is best for a player to keep looking around while exploring.

That being said, there may be subtle indicators in the level if a player has come across something suspicious that leads to a secret. It is not something that a player should miss, so it is best to keep a close eye on their surroundings in case something odd sticks out during exploration.
1 Be Sure To Obtain The Shield
Later on in the game, a player will actually be able to acquire a shield that they can use in the game to fend off enemies. This shield protects a player against anything that deals damage to them and is a passive ability.
However, it is worth noting that the shield can not always be up at all times. A player can use their shield to take one point of damage before it has to recharge, so it is best to be careful - even with a shield equipped, a player should refrain from charging into danger headfirst.
Nova-111 is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, PlayStation 3, macOS, Wii U, and PlayStation Vita.
