In a new two-minute teaser for Lin’s voxel project, they showcase some of the game’s new features. In the video, Lin says that viewers will get to see visual features including butterflies, some new flower types, new scene composition, and the reintroduction of falling leaves to the game. Lin takes players on a bit of a tour of the procedurally generated terrain in the video. All of the new additions are quite apparent throughout the full two minutes.

This short video is just one example of Lin’s project of dozens that they’ve shared online over the past year. They continue to expand and add to their ongoing project in incredibly creative and visually appealing ways. In another recent video, Lin toured a dilapidated building, showing how lighting and voxel-based destruction worked indoors.
For those curious as to what exactly Lin’s project is, they recently described it as “Voxels, creative & destructive physics, procgen, and more voxels,” on Twitter. In late October Lin promised that they’d make a full official game announcement video soon. With today’s update, that announcement is said to be one or two more videos away, as Lin says they can’t help adding more features to their voxel game. They’ve clearly got something special on their hands in this unique voxel experience.
